Riddle - Victory will be for fans

22nd March 2008
Player of the season Jake Riddle has vowed to do everything he can to ensure Excel Hull Stingrays head into the summer with a win.

Stingrays bring the curtain down on their second year in the bmibaby Elite League against Manchester Phoenix at Hull Arena tomorrow night (6pmface-off).

It was against Manchester in the British Knockout Cup earlier in the season which stands out in Riddle's memory, the American saying: "Getting the hat-trick against them and then the winning goal in overtime to get us into the semi-final was the high point for me. My girlfriend was also in town for those games.

"It's been a tough year. In the past few games we have shown what we can do and if we had done that earlier who knows what could have happened? But we want to win the last game for the fans."
