Strachan - We will be professional

15th March 2008
Excel Hull Stingrays coach Rick Strachan admits his players need to treat the final three games of the bmibaby Elite League season "like a job interview".

Stingrays, who cannot make the play-offs, travel to Nottingham Panthers today before home encounters with Cardiff Devils and Manchester Phoenix.

Strachan said: "You have to go out there, work hard, be professional and do your best - as a coach that's all you can ask. You can't just go through the motions.

"It's like a job interview for the guys. You don't go for a job unshaven and with your shirt hanging out, you go to impress. That's what these guys need to do as they are playing for contracts next season whether it is with us or somewhere else."
