Strachan - We must keep Hemingway quiet
The Canadian forward has enjoyed playing against Stingrays and has posted 11 goals and five assists - including successive hat-tricks - in six meetings. Defeat at Hull Arena would end Stingrays' slim hopes of making the post-season and Strachan said: "Edinburgh are playing extremely well. They went in to Coventry last Sunday and came out with a 3-1 victory. "It comes down to our season again. We have to play our very best. We also need to keep Hemingway off the board because he seems to get a hat-trick every time we have played them this year! "It would be nice to get back-to-back wins and put ourselves right back in the thick of things for the last four games. Edinburgh are also battling for a play-off spot. They are tied on points with Basingstoke and they know if they drop points it could be the end of their season. There is a lot at stake for both teams. "If we win it might be the little kick in the butt the guys need to start believing they still have a chance. You have to believe you can do it otherwise you might as well pack up now. There is always a light at the end of the tunnel and the glass is always half full, not half empty. I just want to win on Saturday and then worry about Newcastle on Sunday." |
