Strachan - It's crunch time

4th March 2008
Coach Rick Strachan has described as "do or die" Excel Hull Stingrays' bmibaby Elite League encounter against Basingstoke Bison at Hull Arena tomorrow night (7.30pm face-off).

Defeat for Stingrays, who sit bottom and 10 points adrift of a play-off spot with just six games remaining, would end their hopes of making the post-season.

But a victory and another win at home to Edinburgh Capitals on Saturday will leave Stingrays six points behind with four games to play.

Strachan said: "There's always hope and there's always a chance. You just have to play one game at a time.

"But it's do or die on Wednesday. If we lose then we are done. We need to go out there, compete hard and play our best."
