Hull Stingrays Office Forum Guidelines
The Hull Stingrays Official Forum isn't run by rules, but is maintained and moderated by a small group of moderators who have volunteered to put themselves in the dubious position of making difficult judgement calls. To make our lives easier, please observe and adhere to the following simple guidelines:
We reserve the right to remove any topics or posts that we deem inappropriate or disruptive to the Hull Stingrays. We do not censor opinions or ideas on the Hull Stingrays Official Forum, but we do take action against posts and/or topics that could cause unrest beyond a civil and polite disagreement. We reserve the right to ban any member who violates the Hull Stingrays Official Forum Guidelines. Although we don't have to give reasons, we will be fair and provide a warning in most cases, and an explanation if requested.
Don't make posts that are inflammatory just to get people riled up. No member should engage in personal attacks on any other member. Personal attacks are defined as personal, racial, ethnic and gender based insults, slurs, or derisive comments. Criticise ideas, not people. Flaming will not be tolerated.
Restrict the use of excessive foul language. We aren't saying you can't express your opinion, but there are ways to do so without swearing or words filled with *** and the like.
No pornographic, sexually offensive, sexually explicit, or objectifying material or any link to such material. We'd like for our members to be able to read Hull Stingrays Official Forum at work or at home and share it with their family and friends.
Where links to external websites are posted by members, please be aware that the Hull Stingrays cannot be held responsible for the content of any such external websites. Click on external links at your own risk.
All complaints need to be communicated privately to the Administrator using either the PM System (if activated) or e-mail (webmaster@hullstingraysforum.co.uk). If the complaint is upheld the offending post will be edited or removed and the offending party shall receive a warning. If the behaviour continues, the member will be banned. All we want is a little community consideration and no personal attacks. Let's all work together to accomplish this please.
Only one Membership Account per person is permitted, there is no need for multiple Accounts on the Hull Stingrays Official Forum. Secondary accounts will be deleted if discovered.
No 'txt spk' in posts please, you have a whole keyboard in front of you, not a mobile phone. Also, please don't post ALL IN CAPITALS, this is considered shouting on the forum, and is not permitted.
Respect the privacy of others. Do not post other members phone numbers, addresses, pictures, personal details etc., without their permission.
Blatant advertising of products is not tolerated. Signing up just to advertise your product is a serious breach of etiquette. We cannot allow the free advertising of products or services on the Hull Stingrays Official Forum unless the moderators receive "bungs" of considerable sums.
Use descriptive subject lines and research your post. This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for members to see what they do or don't want to read. Also, scan the subjects of the last several days' posts to make sure you aren't duplicating posts.
We are here to help, but if you have any questions regarding any of the functions available to you as a forum member, please save us time by consulting the 'Help' files first - the link is near the top of every Forum page.
